Description:
D-Ononitol is found in a number of plant species where it is a precursor to D-pinitol. It is also converted to O-alpha-D-galactopyranosyl- (1->3)-4-O-methyl-1-D-myo-inositol, (galactosyl ononitol) which may act as a galactosyl donor.1,2
